Some Baby Shower Invitation Wording Tips
A baby shower invitation is supposed to simply inform guests that they must attend the party. But most people don’t know that there are several aspects to writing an invitation for a baby shower. An invitation for a whimsical event like this has to have impersonal (bare bones) and personal parts (the personal touch). The impersonal parts can be the details that every guest must know. The wordings can be a quote, a small personalized note or a hopeful message.
First, let’s discuss the informative part of a baby shower invitation. A baby shower invitation should have requisite details including directions to a way-out venue and dress code if any, whether it’s a simple stationery with notes on it or an ornate cardboard invitation. These information are essential because every guest wants to know whether it’s ok to dress in casual attire or not. The RSVP is important because the host needs confirmation from the guests so that he can plan the party properly.
The personal touch on the invitation can be in the form of the party theme, which should always coincide with the design of the baby shower invitation. Nursery rhymes, teddy bears or color ideas such as dependent on the gender of the new baby (if known) are popular themes.
Poetry or rhymes are staples of a good invitation wording for a baby shower. Sign the invitation with the name the hostess of the baby shower. Sometimes it’s a friend or a sibling of the mom-to be. In any case, the name of the host or hostess should be signed at the end of the invitation together with an indicator of the relationship between the hostess and the mom (i.e. aunt-to-be, godmotther-to-be etc.).
If you’re in a hurry, get blank invitation from the store. You can write the invitation details as well as the personal message on all of the invites. However, if you intend to invite more than twenty guests, writing that many invitations can be tiring. It’s better to get a template done, have it printed and send it out with the name of the guest in front. Walk into a greeting card shop and use their computers available for the purpose to create your own invitation cards on their professional software and have professionally printed cards to your liking. There are many online clip arts you can use to make attractive baby shower invitation cards.

Planning A Dinner Party With Friends
The pale blossoms made a lovely, low centerpiece in the middle of her cherry wood dining room table set. It was too hard to talk when a high centerpiece obstructed your view. On the sides of the centerpiece she place candle holders with pale yellow candles. Stepping back to the doorway, she analyzed the scene and was happy with it. The cushioned chairs and table were perfect.
Although it seemed a shame to cover the table top, she had a beige lace tablecloth on it. The linen napkins were pale yellow with matching napkin rings. Crystal water goblets were in place next to each plate and the silverware was arranged in the correct order. Everything was ready for her guests.
Three friends were coming at eight o’clock. She showered and dressed then came down to check the beef loin roast that was inside the crock pot with onions, garlic and celery. It had been slow-cooking for hours now.
She checked the stainless steel rice cooker and found the rice almost ready. She had a lemon cake with glaze for dessert. She loved to bake. She would serve each slice with half a fresh lemon slice on the plate next to it.
She had planned and carried out everything perfectly. Her pale yellow sweater matched the linen slacks she wore. Her earrings were lovely diamond drops. Her blond hair was brushed and curled over her ears. She thought of how ugly the hair of the Emo kids looked. They dyed it pitch black and put streaks of orange down each side. She especially hated the piercings they wore.
Checking the house one more time, she fluffed the couch pillows. She put fresh guest towels in the powder room and clean dish towels in the kitchen. Since she had extra time, she went up and cleared off her loft bed with desk. Earlier, she piled all the clothes she decided not to wear on top of the bed. The desk was clear except for a few papers left on top of the printer. She moved those.
After that, she looked at her image in the mirror. Everything was neat and in place she thought to herself as she admired her pretty earrings. She ran back down to the kitchen and checked the dinner again just as the doorbell rang. She walked over to greet her guests who had arrived right on time. She really appreciated it when people were considerate. She smiled and welcomed them as they came through the front door.
