Tragedy at our doorstep

- Image by bill barber (very sporadic) via Flickr
Generally, my husband and I lead a quiet life. One day is very much like the other. But do not think that we feel bored or listless because of the sameness of our days. We have our own set of activities. We boggle on line and that is a great time for us. It gives us a chance a bit of friendly squabbling or gloating over our success. This routine was a little bit upset yesterday because of a tragedy that happened. Here is the sad story. We have pots of asparagus hanging from our front porch. A pair of bulbuls had chosen one of them to build their nest in. We have had bulbuls nesting in our climbers last year and the year before but they had always ended disastrously for the birds. Either the cat got to the eggs or ants invaded the nest. This time, the bulbuls seemed to have made a good choice for their nesting site. The hanging pot was too high for cats or ants to get at the nest. We were thrilled to watch the pair busy at their nest building. I stopped watering the plant for fear of disturbing the birds. We did not even try to peek at how they were getting on. To our delight, we soon spotted the birds bringing worms and insects. The eggs must have hatched!
My Daughter and her “Little Sister”
My daughter has been asking for a little sister since she could talk. Her mother has two sisters, and she wants to be like mom, of course! We haven't had another child yet, and so now that she's four, she has decided that she is going to take matters into her own hands. She found a zucchini in her grandmother's garden and has named it "Lexi," and it's her little sister. She carries it around with her all over the house. They watch movies together, read books together, and all sorts of things. It sounds a little weird, but trust me, it is adorable, and she loves it. It encourages imagination, and who can argue with that?
Colorado real estate – a great investment
Real estate is a very important concept for any and all of us to know. Not only are homes the single biggest purchase 99% of people are going to make, it’s also the biggest investment most people are ever going to make. Plus, in today’s world, you need a home to survive and to raise your children in.
Most people don’t tend to see their real estate in Highlands Ranch as investments. For example, many people in their low to mid 20’s still live in their parent’s house because they feel like buying a house would be a waste of money when they can just live with their parents. Yes, you may have a place to live, but what are you doing with all of your money? If you buy a house now and start making the monthly payments, you are going to be making a big investment for your future years. Houses go up in value as they get older. They rarely go down. It’s a rather paradoxical thing to think about! As your house gets older, it goes up in value; thus houses are investments.
Houses also go down in value, however, and this can be the case for a number of reasons. Maybe your local crime rate has been steadily increasing and is finally getting noticed nationally? Maybe a public school next to your house was closed down due to a fire. There are many, many reasons why a house would go down in value.
However, as stated before, houses tend to go up in value. One of the reasons for this is because the dollar bill, as time goes on, buys you less and less. So 100,000 dollars will buy you the same house now that is going to cost 200,000 dollars in the near future. Plus, if you live in a place that was recently developed, your surrounding area is going to start growing. As more businesses come to be around your house, the convenience level of living in your home goes up, and as such the price of your house goes up!

Swords to Plowshares
I worked in MNC for a non-profit organization named Swords to Plowshares. We called it Swords. It was opened by a Vietnam Veteran who became aware of the problems Veterans have returning to civilian life after spending years in the military and compounded by serving in a War Zone or in direct combat. Vietnam was dangerous for the troops in most places at most times. And, for the ones that experienced combat or were involved with attacks on there duty stations, or lost friends, or worked in the Morgue or, and it goes on forever. Many of the homeless Veterans we served were combat veterans who had brought Combat Stress with them. It affects their lives in a profound way from an inability to maintain relationships, suicide, alcohol and drug addictions, and inability to support them and so on. At the beginning of Swords in 1974 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was not yet defined and accepted by the VA. That took many years to be fixed. Just one problem. I was a Counselor/Case Manager for individual Veterans helping them to solve everyday problems and problems getting medical treatment from the Veteran's Administration for eight years and loved it.
Frazier: From Boston to Seattle
Everyone's Favorite Radio Psychiatrist In my time slot with the local cable company, the television show, Frazier, airs twice nightly at 11 pm until midnight. What a lovely time to watch my favorite show. It is indeed the part of the day I look forward to the most. Frazier fans know that Frazier was one of the bar regulars on Cheers until he moved back home to his native Seattle and began airing his own talk radio show on KACL. His retired and disabled police chief father--complete with his tattered favorite chair and dog, Eddie--moved with him into his luxury high-rise apartment. They are joined by Daphne, a British healthcare worker, that sees to the father's needs. The cast is completed by Roz, Frazier's producer, and Niles, his brother. Niles is in love with Daphne. I adore the beautiful and warm sets for the show, the apartment, the station, the coffee shop, Niles's apartment, and their cabins. I enjoy the interplay of their personalities and their relationships. It is the best show on television.
Home is where the heart is
A home is the place to relax for the day and to be ready for the next day. So, the home should be located in such a location, that it provides you with that opportunity. Another important criterion of your home location would be to be placed in a convenient location near the shops and markets. It is very difficult to find such a location, which is placed in a favorable position near downtown and on the other hand, it is a peaceful, quiet area.
Both these attributes come true for Boulder Whittier neighborhood homes. The neighborhood of Whittier is the dream location having stoic charm, beautiful trees and more beautiful homes. On top of that, the location is very much near to downtown Boulder.
Each house of this area is an evidence of artistic architecture. Houses with slanted rooftops, stone walls, designed windows and many more delicate details are gorgeously erected in both sides of the beautiful, shady streets. All of these houses are beautifully colored in a variety of soothing shades. The white picket fences and the sunflower gardens add beautiful contrasts to the picturesque effect.
The neighborhood of this area is just like a big and closely knitted family. Neighbors are more close to each other’s heart and keeping hand in hand they take care of the neighborhood to maintain the opulent character. Jointly they also look after the kids and children, so that they grow up under the affectionate guidance of the elders.
The famous Pearl Street Mall of downtown Boulder is very near to this neighborhood. You just take a stroll to reach the central point of attraction. Here you get numerous choices to eat or shop. Beautiful retail shops and specialty shops are waiting for you with their unique collection of items, be it furniture or fashion accessories or dresses or anything else. Depending upon your mood, you can choose your favorite international cuisine from the array of restaurants.
Enjoy the charm and warmth of this location and you will really feel the urge to invest on real estate located here. Contact the real estate agent to get an idea on the interiors of these beautiful houses. Fix a deal, get your finances ready and be a permanent resident of this affluent neighborhood.

Across the Universe (Of My Mind)
Across the Universe is a movie/musical extravaganza that portrays the Beatles music at its best. While some of the actors are unknown, they all captivate the audience and demand the screen with their delivery of each song and precise movement. Jude, who plays the lead, is played by Jim Sturgess, as an unknown to me, his portrayal of this boy who becomes a man on the journey of his lifetime. Along the way in meeting his father and finding himself, he also falls in love with Lucy, played by the lovely Evan Rachel Wood. My favorite parts of this movie are definitely the arts capes that backdrop this movie in each scene and the music itself is so pure and energetic. This movie makes you want to be in their time, loving who they love, mourning who they mourn and throughout this trippy ride, you wish that in this world, all you really do need is love.
Much Lazier Than I Thought
After coming home from office (I was in Night Shift), I had tea and then went for sleep. My wife was cooking when I wake up at 12:00 PM afternoon. After having lunch, I had chat with my parents and then again went for sleep with my wife. We woke up at 6:00 PM. She brought me tea and some snacks. We enjoyed watching Television till 8:00 PM. By the time she went for preparing dinner for me, I was got late to go to the office for Night Shift. Anyways, she finished cooking at 9:15 PM and then I had to rush to the office with my Tiffin Box. So the whole day was like a sleeping day. I did nothing, except eat and sleep. This routine is very common when I have Night Shift to go to office. Well even I sleep the whole day to compensate for the Night I remained awake, I am never able to keep myself awake at the office.

Investing in Lakewood CO
Real estate is an amazing thing to get into. Not only are homes an essential part of living, they are also probably the most important investment you’ll ever make in your life. So it’s a two for one deal! You have to own a home to survive in today’s world, but when you do buy a home you’ll instantly start making money!
Homes go up in value as time moves on. This may seem a bit paradoxical because as something gets older, it should also go down in value. This is not always true! Or at least it’s not true for homes! So even if you can’t afford a house right away and you’d need to take out a loan, you should definitely consider buying a home. Most houses aren’t directly bought anyway. Most people do take out loans and end up paying back their loans over 20 or 30 years time.
As those years pass by, you are making money. As stated before, houses do in fact go up in value as they get older. This is the general trend of Lakewood real estate . So let’s say you buy a house at a common rate of 150,000 dollars. You also take out a loan for 30 years. Over these 30 years you are going to be paying off these 150,000 dollars, correct? Now just imagine that your house doubles in value over these 30 years (which is much more common than one may think). You’ll then end up paying off a 150,000 dollar house that is now worth 300,000 dollars! Isn’t that an amazing concept?
After you pay off your house, you can either stay in your house (which is nice because you’ll never have to make a house payment again) or you can sell your house and move into a much nicer home. By that time you’ll probably end up not having kids in the home anymore, so you may want to consider moving into a smaller home more suited to your grandchildren’s visits. So don’t delay! Buy today!
